In Ancient Greece, symposiums used to be the heart of innovative and revolutionary ideas.
The concept is pretty simple: get a house, fill it with people and do not stop giving them wine. Now, the greeks were not stupid and they thought of everything in order to make the experience pleasant. They gave diluted wine to their guests to keep them going and had slaves making sure everyone had a full cup... simply because without cutting and serving the wine, a symposium would quickly degenerate into a drunken blur.
Creativity is defined in four stages: preparation, incubation, illumination and verification. Well, wine affects all of them positively. Alcohol allows you to "marinate" a problem you are actively trying to solve letting your unconscious have a crack at it.
So next time you have a problem with your start-up you cannot solve, don't despair. Organize a party instead. Invite quite an amount of people, explain what the problem is, give them wine (and lots of it), and let brains do what they can do best... maybe without the slaves.
That's all.

The greeks always know what’s up.
